You handle lodging and evening meals. We handle everything in the field: guide service, blind setup, decoys, spreads, breakfast in the blind, trained Labs, and bird cleaning. This is how serious hunters often prefer it.
Turn Key
Hand us the details and show up. We handle lodging and meal logistics from start to finish — from the best local eateries to home cooked meals and beef straight from the ranch. Built for corporate groups, out-of-state parties, and anyone who wants to be fully present for the experience.

By limiting access, each client receives our full attention and focus. Your experience is our priority, and we will be very transparent about hunt expectations and the current stage of the migration.

Early September
Early Season Slam
The season opens right here. Early September in western Nebraska means active birds, warm mornings turning crisp by the end of the week, and some of the most exhilarating shooting you'll find anywhere in the region. Fighter jet teal low and fast over the marsh, barely giving you time to think. Doves pour into food and water with speed and numbers that will humble even experienced wingshooters. Sharptails flush wild from the native grass — everything moving, everything alive, everything exactly as it should be at the start of a new season.

Late October / Early November
Upland & Duck Combo
Lost Otter Ranch sits along a historic early-season migration corridor, which makes this combination possible and unlike anything else in the region. Morning finds you in the blind — ducks working staging ponds and loafing water, drawn in by flooded millet fields and resting habitat that meets every need of birds in migration. No bird has to choose between food and water here. We provide both, and the results speak for themselves. Then the afternoon takes you to the field — roosters holding in the native grass, quail coveys working the edges, high energy Labs pursuing and flushing birds with everything they have. Two pursuits. One day.

November through Winter
Premier Duck & Goose
This is the cornerstone of the ranch. We hunt ducks and geese on every setup — because that's how it's done when the habitat is built right. Flooded millet, dry field spreads, staging ponds, and open loafing water work together to meet every need birds have during migration. With limited hunting pressure and habitat that genuinely delivers, birds don't just pass through — they build confidence here and they stay. Fourteen ice eaters keep water open through the coldest weeks of the season, when most operations can't make that promise. As late-season migration pushes through, occasional snow geese join the mix to round out what is already the finest waterfowl hunting in western Nebraska.

Last Chance Goose Blast
When duck season closes, the geese are still here. The Last Chance Goose Blast is built for the hunter who isn't ready to call it a season — three nights, two full days of Canada and snow goose hunting on managed ground with the kind of setups that only come from knowing this land the way we do. This is a Turn Key experience. Show up, hunt, go home full.

Guide gratuity is not included in package pricing. Standard industry gratuity runs 15–20% and is deeply earned by the people who make your hunt happen. We typically accommodate this at the time of booking so it is handled before you arrive — one less thing to think about in the field.
BOOKING & POLICIES
A 50% non-refundable deposit holds your date. Balance due 30 days prior.
Groups up to 10 hunters, sweet spot of 6. No mixed groups, ever. Your date is exclusive to your party from the moment you book.
